Specialties
Art In A Nutshell specializes in entertaining people with amazing objects and artifacts known as replicas. Nothing can replace seeing the real object when you're talking about roses made of rocks, or witnessing five white doves leave the inside of a sand dollar. If you are over 18 years of age, you can see a chip that makes a case for Chester the Cheetah® to wear more than just sunglasses and tennis shoes! For the ultimate experience, one can commission the Old Man in the Peanut to ferret out the replicas that exist in your scribbles, then framed as a piece of art ready to hang on the walls of your home.
History
Established in 2009, A. I. A. N. is in the heart of south Austin, 78704! In fact, the Old Man in the Peanut was discovered in 78704 right off S. 1st. street across from Dawson Elementary school. As a master of images in patterns, the Old Man in the Peanut (or the Sage of the Leguminati) is a reporter of replicas and
returns to his shop in South Austin where he collects and shows some of the most amazing resemblances.

South First Art Walk 2011
Art In A Nutshell is proud to be a participant of the Art Walk on South First Street this year. Our featured artist is Martin C. Fry with live music by Eric Dowdy of the Household.
Also, there will be a creative station for children (and adults) in which participants will be able to transform their scribbles into works of art in an artform known as Scribblism!
